Did you know that at one time the Christmas stocking would be filled with carrots, straw or sugar?

Today it may be rare to find straw but we sure are lucky with what we do find in these festive stockings. For the kid at heart the paper pipe robot in 3 designs or Cube Bot will do the trick.

Travel Bugs will be thrilled with mini maps of great cities around the world, passport holders or luggage tags.

Crafters love our washi tapes, stamps and pens, pens and more pens! We all love pens.

For everyone else, you can't go wrong with a magnetic bottle opener, tiny coin purse or a cell phone holder and don't forget the straw or at least a carrot!

We want to thank Lara for sharing her table project with us.

Lara bought the white table at a thrift store for $35.00. Then she went to work at transforming it with our gold and black mustache paper! The result is amazing. From merely functional to very chic with a humorist twist.

She sand papered the found table top and used white glue to apply the mustache paper. The most important part is to not get air bubbles. Push any of those out with a soft cloth so you don't scratch the paper. Once the paper is adhered to the surface and completely dry, apply varathane. Reuse, recycle and revamp something with our inspiring decorative papers to express your own unique style.

The Amazing Paper Clip

Some of the attributes of the modern paper clip stated by early paper clip manufacturers are as follows:
1. Does not catch, mutilate or tear paper
2. Does not get tangled with other paper clips in the box
3. Holds a thick set of papers
4. Holds paper securely
5. Is thinner and takes less space in files
6. Is easily inserted
7. Is light weight and requires less postage
8. Is cheap

All this tantalizing information is readily available. Just check out the online Early Office Museum.  In fact, if one is to research further you will find there is a dark side to the paper clip. Apparently the paper clip can be bent into a crude but sometimes effective lock-picking device. Good grief! Not to worry, all the paper clips at Paper-Ya are good and honest paper clips.

Joyful floating colors of freeform aqueous surfaces create these contemporary marbled papers.

When we think of marbled papers we usually think of the traditional European patterns of combed marbled patterns using historic pigmented colors. Our slide show below is of a selected few of our newest marbled papers from the East. Breaking away from tradition, employing festive colors with a more organic fluid marbling technique creates a contemporary style. Interior designers take note: yes, you can use these for wallpapering, covering cupboard doors, lining drawers, lamps and more...surprise yourself, click thru and enjoy.
